Invesco QQQ ETF NCAA Marketing Campaign Review

Invesco QQQ ETF NCAA Marketing Campaign featured throughout March Madness.

It’s rare to see an ETF (exchange-traded-fund) invest in tv commercials for prime-time viewership. Let alone, a full fledge multi-year deal to have Invesco as the official asset management partner of the NCCA. Additionally, Invesco’s QQQ ETF is the NCAA official ETF of 2021 and 2022. In conclusion, you will see an in-depth review of this marketing campaign below.

"Become an Agent of Innovation with Invesco QQQ!"

This was the first time I have ever seen an ETF on a prime time tv spot. An ETF, or Exchanged Traded Fund, is usually made up of several securities that tracks an index fund. First, publicly traded stocks have been airing commercials for years. But this was the first time I’ve ever seen an ETF containing several innovative companies taking the opportunity to seize the moment with a marketing strategy.

Simple, yet effect. The ads featured for the QQQ Hoops campaign kept it simple with clear and concise messaging. This simple video campaign approach can be seen in this segment of Ladonna crushing polygons. Ladonna explains in 10 seconds what Invesco QQQ is. Simply, “a fund that gives me access to the Nasdaq-100 innovations.”

March Madness Audience

First, we must identify what platforms this campaign is utilizing to spend their marketing budget. We saw ads on TV commercials, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. For instance, their YouTube channel is constantly adding content. Which shows a commitment to their marketing budget of attracting new investors. Some featuring basketball stars such as Candace Parker and Grant Hill.

This is not the first time this ETF has purchased a major tv commercial spot. For instance, their YouTube channel is constantly adding content. Which shows a commitment to their marketing budget of attracting new investors. With videos featuring basketball stars such as Candace Parker and Grant Hill, being the official ETF sponsor of the NCAA is paying dividends. View the video on YouTube.

Conclusion

In conclusion, securing a multi-year deal with the NCAA to become an agent of innovation might be one of the best marketing campaigns I’ve seen in a while. Being the official ETF sponsor of the NCAA is paying dividends for Invesco QQQ.
